ALCOSYS, Inc. offers experience in the areas of Information Assurance: Information Systems Security (INFOSEC), Computer Security (COMPUSEC), and Communications Security (COMSEC) in accordance with the Presidential Decision Directive (PDD) 63. Consequently, our systems development and support activities must incorporate effective means of:
1. Assessing system vulnerabilities 2. Detecting intrusions 3. Identifying, developing, implementing, and documenting effective countermeasures
In order to help our customers achieve and maintain the highest possible information security posture, ALCOSYS provides the technical and analytical services required to research and develop both contingency and security plans. We focus our risk assessment efforts on key areas: physical security, environmental security, operational systems information security, future/developmental systems modernization security, and management structure and security policy implementation.
To achieve this end, we incorporate the following when indicated: Private Networks, Proxy Servers, Router Access Lists, Secured Sockets Layer Protocol (SSL), Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), Remote Access Servers (RAS), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and other server solutions. We also support the development, testing, and fielding of technologies that ensure secure, interoperable capabilities. This includes systems evaluation, documentation, and on-site support of operational systems.
ALCOSYS has cleared facilities, and many of our employees hold clearances at the Secret or Top Secret level. Our Information Assurance personnel are trained in:
| |
-
IAM–the National Security Agency’s INFOSEC Assessment Methodology, which provides a standardized baseline for the analysis of the INFOSEC posture of automated information systems
-
ITSEC—the Common Criteria for Information Technology (IT) Security Evaluation Certificate, which is the certification of a comprehensive, rigorous method for specifying the security functionality and assurance requirements for IT systems and products, usually in the form of protection profiles
