Crashworthiness Test Support
	ALCOSYS provides technical and engineering services that support motor vehicle crashworthiness research and testing, injury mitigation, crash investigation and vehicle design in compliance with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS), aircraft accident investigation, and the generation of Aviation Accident Fact Books. These systems support initiatives for the prevention of accidents and incidents, the reduction of injury and death in the event of crashes, accidents or incidents, and emergency response. Using Finite Element Modeling (FEM) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA), crashworthiness research regularly performs simulations of vehicle-to-vehicle, vehicle-to-barrier, and component impact tests. The success of this approach is evident in the close agreement between full-scale tests and simulations. ALCOSYS was twice named the U.S. Department of Transportation National Highway Traffic Safety Administration�s (NHTSA�s) Administrator�s Outstanding Woman-Owned Business Enterprise for work performed in integrating Imaging Technology into that agency�s existing Traffic Safety Assurance information systems and services in support of motor vehicle crashworthiness testing.
